Alan and Rachel's Wedding
September 13, 2003

This page is under constant construction. Check back often. :)

Ceremony

We will be married at 2:30 PM in the MIT Chapel, which is highlighted on the map below (building W15). Its address is 48 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, if you want to look it up on mapquest.com.The campus is subway accessible, so those flying into Logan Airport won't need to rent a car. For those who are driving, there is parking available on Amherst Street, right next to the chapel.

Click on the map for more directions to and around M.I.T.

Reception

We will be hosting an informal hors d'ouevre and cocktail reception from 3:00 to 6:00 in the library of the University Park Hotel at 20 Sidney Street. This is about a five-minute walk down Mass Ave from the ceremony site. We loved the room at first sight and hope you'll enjoy the armchairs and couches as much as we did. It seemed like a very comfortable option compared to the usual ballroom. Directions from the ceremony to the reception will be available at the ceremony.

Registry

Our Kitchen, Etc. registry is empty! Thanks, everyone! We still have a few things at Amazon for you people who like to do things late. :)

Lodging

First easy option: the University Park Hotel, where we're staying, has reserved a block of rooms for the wedding for Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday night. They're $139/night for double occupancy (and yes, they are giving us a discount; welcome to the Boston area). To make reservations there, call 617-577-0200 and tell them you're with the Grey-deLespinasse wedding.

Second easy option: a bed and breakfast. Get one through bnbboston.com.

Third option: some other hotel in the area. You'll probably end up paying more than you would at the University Park Hotel though.

Fourth option: stay with us. You houseguests should know who you are by now, but you probably want this: directions from Logan Airport to our place. This is also a useful guide for just getting from the airport to the subway system, which is probably the trickiest part.
